Sanction Match 2017

TIKO sanction match will be held on February 11th, 2017.

Beside the normal Sanction Match classes: 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, open, graduate, we also offer Brace Class.

Our sanction match judges this year will be Dominique Firetto (Grps 1, 3, 4 & 7) and Francois-Pier Garant (Grps 2, 5, 6 & BIM). Please see their bios below:

Bio of Dominique Firetto
Dominique Firetto has owned Siberian Huskies since his teens and started showing dogs when he was 16 years old in Europe. Among his achievements he has produced many champions and Best in Show Winners in several countries, gained class victories at the American and Canadian National Specialty, and Best of Winners at the Westminster show. Since 2008 he has lived in Canada and his kennel is 25 minutes drive away from Montréal. While continuing to be involved in his breeding program and dog shows, he also involves his dogs in many different sports as well as zoo therapy and ad campaigns for various brands. His breeding philosophy revolves around the idea that a combination of breed standard conformity, alongside great temperament and excellent physical condition leads to the best-looking dogs. He is owner of a pet service in downtown Montreal called “Adorable Doggytown”.


Bio of Francois-Pier Garant
Francois-Pier Garant, of Saint-Gilles, Quebec, began exhibiting dogs in 2009. He was involved for a few years as a spectator and ring steward. His first breed was Doberman; he owned and produced several champions including Multiple Best Puppy in Show winners and National Best of Winners. Now he owns Dalmatians & has bred several American & Canadian champions, multiple Group Winners, BPIS winners, BPISS winners and AKC Specialty winners. He is involved in the show scene at many levels; as Quebec director for the Dalmatian Club of Canada and director of conformation for the Doberman Pinscher of Greater Montreal. He has judged several sweepstakes and fun matches. He remains active in different clubs. Since 2007 he has been chief of the pharmacy department at the Quebec Heart and Lung Institute of Quebec.




Sanction matches are possible because of the hard work of volunteers and the generous donations of members and community vendors.
